Half Full Kinda Life
>>><<<
I think every kid growing up has been imbedded with the idea that "mother knows best." Perhaps this is just a mechanism simply to eat all your peas on your dinner plate (Please excuse me while I gag), or for others, such as myself, some things your mother says simply stick with you as you morph into adulthood. Since I can remember, my mother always used the phrase "living with the glass half full, instead of empty." However, I don't think it was until I got older I truly came to appreciate this phrase and how much it affects me on a daily basis.
I guess I should have started this out by introducing myself. So for those of you who don't know me, hi I'm Mackenzie, or Mack depending on what you prefer! I'm just your ordinary media nerd with a passion digital marketing and digital storytelling. I come from a crazy, but fun family of five whom all ended up somehow in Atlanta, Georgia. This past year I have been working on the Public Relations team for PulteGroup, a home corporation, in the heart of Buckhead. PulteGroup has helped me expand my love or storytelling while discovering what it’s like to market for multiple brands. PulteGroup has also enhanced my love for travel as I have been traveling across the country to capture the moments of our employees. As a girl who grew up binge watching Anthony Bourdain and who is always down for an adventure, you can say I have an incurable case of the travel bug! I love discovering new cities and the discovering the secrets they have to offer. While on the topic of loud and crazy, I also have a deep adoration for old movies and late 90's music. I know, some people call it trash but I was probably born in the wrong time period anyway. I am just a girl who is trying to live a half full kinda life.
So at this point you may be thinking, what is a “half-full kinda life”. It’s simple. It’s a perspective. It’s not matter what’s thrown at you, whether if it’s a flight delay or a bad hair day, you find a way to grasp the positive in even the stickiest situations and use it to your advantage. As someone who finds value in creating one’s personal “brand” I hope to utilize this as my brand, my emo, and my perspective in not only my career but in my life. I mean, who likes a half empty drink anyways? So cheers! Put a smile on your face! And welcome to my little corner of the world
Xoxo,
Mack
